In depth

Verdict

QUARESOME looked a good purchase when scoring comfortably on debut for Donald McCain at Musselburgh and is taken to defy his penalty and retain his unbeaten record. Trip and ground look ideal. Special Rate really looked to appreciate the move to hurdling when a strong second to the in-form Ballyporeen, a stablemate of the selection, at Kelso and rates the prime danger, especially if building further on that promising effort. Five Dollar Fine looks an each-way option after showing up quite well in handicap company the last twice, and the market should signpost which of the Nicky Richards' pair is of most interest.
