    Verdict

Fine Resolve has been winning over shorter trips. The hurdles winner should last home over today’s distance but a further 6lb rise may prove a bigger problem. Always Summer has also been raised 6lb after scoring over 1m6f at Chelsmford but Kicking The Can has not won anywhere in 26 starts now and Jan Smuts has yet to score on the all-weather. ALSACIENNE fits the profile of a typical Sir Mark Prescott runner in that further improvement is expected over today’s 2m having won over 1m4f at Wolverhampton last month - she gets the vote.
