In depth

Verdict

The Ring should take plenty of beating here and he is preferred to Pee Jay's Dream and Mensio. The selection won in convincing fashion at Kelso last time on heavy ground and he clearly relishes a real stamina test. He will certainly get that today and it will be a surprise if he is not good enough to get his head in front again. Pee Jay's Dream was a fair sort on the flat and he made a decent start to his hurdling career when chasing home Open De L'Isle on heavy ground last time. He did make a couple of mistakes that day so he will need to brush up on his jumping if he is to give our selection a race. Mensio is an interesting newcomer from a yard that do well with their runners up here and he should be noted in the market. However, we are happy to stick with The Ring as our idea of the winner.
