In depth

Verdict

STEINKRAUS and Kayf Hernando, who has had wind surgery, are getting plenty of weight from their two rivals, who are both novices. Donald McCain’s charge gets cheekpieces after disappointing last time and Brian Hughes will be keen to make the most of his proven stamina and liking for good ground. Jetoile’s run in the Betfair Hurdle suggests he’s too high in the weights but the return to a longer trip will suit and Rafferty's Return has plenty of scope making his handicap debut.
