Verdict
After making a winning start at Newmarket, Peace Trail finished last in a Group 3 at Goodwood and she won’t find it easy giving 7lb to less-exposed rivals here. Zip Along found only one too good at Beverley and Wolverhampton fourth Swiss Chocolate is a likely improver, as is Qafilah. But there are also a couple of nicely-bred debutantes facing the starter including Alwasmiya, who has bags of speed in her pedigree and is out of a mare that won on Tapeta. HIGH SEAS still holds an entry in next month’s Two-Year-Old Trophy and will need to go close here to persuade connections she’s good enough for a race like that.
