In depth

Verdict

Tommy's Oscar is penalised for making a successful debut over hurdles at Sedgefield but there looks more to come from Ann Hamilton's Irish point-to-point winner. Four-times Flat winner Archi's Affaire hasn't really improved over timber but Donladd showed some potential on his first start for Donald McCain at Kelso. HERE WE HAVE IT kept finding one too good between the flags and did so again on his bumper debut at Carlisle where he was caught in the final strides. He gets the nod to make a successful start over hurdles though Sharp Suited, a winner on the Flat here a year ago, is an interesting recruit for hurdling.
