Verdict

Modest fare in which Exchequer seeks to bounce back from a Lingfield defeat last week when well backed to win an ordinary claimer. He has definite claims on the best of his form but hasn't won since the spring of 2016 and is passed over as he's unlikely to offer any value. Jockey bookings would signpost Mujassam as the preferred of the O'Meara pair but he's not the easiest to catch right either and a chance is taken on his stable companion. MAJOR CRISPIES. A course and distance scorer, he ran well here earlier this year when fourth to the prolific Oriental Lily and only succumbed by a neck the last day in a better race at Lingfield, a repeat of which would see him go close. Ballymore Castle completes the shortlist.
