In depth

Verdict

Rochester House followed success at Ascot with a victory over 2m at Lingfield though faces a tougher task today and stablemate LUCKY DEAL is preferred. The latter has been competing in better company than this for some time now and an apprentice’s 5lb allowance further helps his cause as he drops down in class. Solo Saxophone landed the odds in a match at Newmarket when last in action and debuts on the all-weather while Cleonte finished just ahead of Cosmelli when down the field at Kempton though the latter won off a similar mark here during the summer. Mister Manduro has been hurdling and has recently switched yards but has only won a maiden on the Flat so far.
