In depth

Verdict

Ginge N Tonic showed a big improvement for being gelded when popping up at 25/1 at Lingfield but has been raised 6lb. Tabou Beach Boy also posted an improved effort when runner-up on his handicap debut over a shorter trip here while novice winner Colony Queen was narrowly beaten over 1m2f at Chelmsford last time with Fanfaronade back in third. James Tate’s filly can confirm running in this but a chance is taken on LORD LAMINGTON in an open contest. Still in contention a furlong out over today’s trip at Wolverhampton on his reappearance, Mark Johnston’s charge will be sharper today and is preferred to stablemate Rich Cummins.
