Verdict
BETTER CHANCE is returned to Turf having failed to act on Lingfield's Polytrack but while a reproduction of her debut at Doncaster should suffice she will be priced accordingly. Abbotsfield was rated just 55 prior to her run in a Redcar maiden, though that contest has been boosted by the subsequent victory of the second. Aphrilis sold for just 800 guineas at auction but she suggested herself capable of picking up a small race when finishing second to a 74-rated performer in a maiden at Thirsk. Cash Is King showed initial promise for Richard Fahey but neither Nick Littmoden nor Jonjo O'Neill were able to find the key to him and he makes a debut for Bob Johnson tonight. Nonagon makes a belated seasonal return for Wilf Storey having raced previously for Noel Quinlan.
