        Verdict

        John Kirkup won in soft going at Ayr when dropped back to the minimum trip and is 7lb higher while Secretinthepark was successful over 5f here earlier in the month and has been raised only 3lb. Axe Axelrod missed an engagement at Southwell yesterday and won a lower grade contest over track and trip last time while Tomily gets a change of headgear and is now back on a winning mark having landed a hat-trick on Turf during the summer. PRIMO’S COMET is fitted with a hood for the first time having last won when successful here back in February. But he’s posted better efforts recently including in the Stewards’ Cup consolation race at Goodwood last time and a chance is taken on Jim Goldie’s charge.
