        Verdict

        MABS CROSS was in contention until the closing stages over 6f at Thirsk last time. He was beaten less than a length in third and this shorter trip looks the logical move. Hamidans Girl also has claims on her third at Musselburgh and is weighted to beat the less exposed Double Spin though the latter is still preferred to stablemate Kodiac Pearl. Gaval has a shout on his reappearance on last year’s second at Thirsk but the rest have some improving to do to figure.
