Verdict

LADY BUTTONS, four times a winning hurdler, made a winning debut over fences in a Listed contest at Bangor in November. She's been sent to Leopardstown for two tough handicaps over timber subsequently and run very well in both so should have few problems here. Applaus has only shown moderate ability in three starts over fences, though his best run was on this track. Under The Red Sky has now had 27 starts over fences, mostly at a lower grade than this, and has yet to win but Kelka won over hurdles here in March. Though surprisingly beaten when odds-on for his chasing debut at Catterick, he didn't jump well and will have gained from the experience. Bollin Ace fell twice in his last three starts over hurdles and was last of four on his chasing bow at Sedgefield but he's the type to do better.
