In depth

Verdict

Malhoob beat a subsequent winner when scoring over a mile at Thirsk and is upped in trip for his handicap debut. Maiden winner DARAMETHOS (NAP) also goes handicapping for the first time having failed to settle on his return to action at Newmarket. First-time headgear may help in that regard and the Group 2 entry gets the vote. Portfolio is another stepping up in distance while Irish Legend struggled in the Classic Trial at Sandown but this should be more his level with cheekpieces fitted. Chase The Dollar beat Innse Gall in a maiden race last summer but finished last of five at Redcar on his reappearance.
