      Verdict

      GIFTED MASTER's close second to Buratino at Newmarket has been given such a massive boost by the winner that he can't realistically be opposed though he's up against some decent opposition. Tim Easterby is in tremendous form and Quick N Quirky has to be considered a threat after springing a surprise at Thirsk. She will almost certainly improve with that under her belt and in receipt of 8lb will ensure the selection doesn't have things his own way. Dressed In Fur has only raced over the minimum trip and it was softer ground when she scored at Hamilton and Astley Hall is a more likely contender as he didn't appear suited by ease in the ground and Chester's bends last month after a debut victory at Redcar.
