      Verdict

      The betting suggested CLEARPOINT was expected to go close at Ayr on his debut and Richard Fahey’s colt duly returned an easy winner. This drop down in trip is a slight surprise given he’s entered in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes over 6f but he’s taken to get the better of Harry Brown. The latter went close at Yarmouth earlier in the month but Mint Edition unseated leaving the stalls at Carlisle on his debut. Naomi's Charm is related to four winners though is bred for middle-distances and further.
