Verdict
Everything points to LUSCIVIOUS here, while Sandwith and Highland Warrior are also short list material. The selection has done all his winning over five and six furlongs and it was the latter trip over which he won very comfortably on the Fibresand last time. Despite that he remains on a lower mark here than two of his three previous turf wins, and with a pair of those having been landed with cut in the ground he has all the right credentials for a follow-up. Sandwith is also at home in these conditions and over the minimum trip, but while he is capable of being thereabouts his mark suggests that he will have to wait longer for his next success. Highland Warrior has everything going for him except that the handicapper did not miss his comfortable Doncaster win a couple of starts back and he looks to be in control in that particular argument. Tadalavil has secured both his career wins in August, so we are getting to the time of year when he comes right. He goes on good to soft and is below last year's winning mark so has to be considered. Kyzer Chief can get competitive from this rating, but Luscivious can satisfy lustful punters here.
