In depth

Verdict

Oaklands Luis Plugged on to win well at Catterick last time out and despite the drop in trip today, he should still be up to winning at the main expense of Andy Anshan and Was I Right. Today's slightly slower ground should negate slightly the fact that this drop in trip might not play to the selection's strength but given his level of consistency this season he looks sure to run well. Andy Anshan let down favourite backers last time out but that was his first run for a while and he looks sure to improve for that outing and can be expected to run a better race today. Harloes Coffee needs a check in the betting, along with Limogos, The Name's Bond and Alpine Warrior who all have point to point form beside their names, albeit of various levels of success. Was I Right ran well in defeat last time out and needs to be considered a major threat if repeating that run, however we will side with Oaklands Luis for the winner.
