In depth

Verdict

Corked finished runner-up in a higher grade contest here last time and is preferred to Gold Standard, who is regularly placed but has just the one win in 16 starts. PUCKLE completed a double at Beverley in August and was having only her second outing on the all-weather when runner-up at Wolverhampton. Mark Johnston’s filly looks up to winning off her current mark and gets the vote. Stittenham Wood has run a couple of shockers since scoring over track and trip while G For Gabrial has improved over shorter trips recently, though is back on a winning mark.
