      Verdict

With Jonjo O'Neill's Pietro Vannucci liable to "bounce" and Gatorade representing the Richard Guest yard that is really out of form at present, the safest bet here looks to be Oso Magic, who is taken to follow up his recent course success. Sue Smith's gelding showed the benefit of a reappearance run over hurdles at Wetherby before landing that handicap chase here over the extended two miles earlier this month and with today's longer trip expected to suit, he is taken to defy the rise in the weights. Sound Of Cheers is likely to need a run or two to put him spot on, while Nowator needs to improve on recent evidence. Powder Creek has given little sign of encouragement of late and of more interest may be Posh Stick, who made a satisfactory return at Hexham recently. Jallastep is difficult to recommend on recent evidence and a safer bet looks to be Oso Magic, who is taken to land his second course success of the campaign.
