In depth

Verdict

Theatro returned a wide-margin winner at Ripon but beat little in a lowly Class 6 contest and is penalised 6lb. London Eye failed to show the expected improvement when third at Carlisle and has returned a losing favourite the last twice now while Frankadore takes another step up in trip after placing over 1m2f at Haydock. TAMMOOZ (NAP) missed out by only a head over 1m4f at Lingfield on his handicap bow. Roger Varian’s charge is going the right way and gets the vote to go one better in this. Dubai Philosopher has been gelded since last in action and makes his handicap debut along with Samba Saravah.
