Verdict
Plenty of the field can be given a decent shout but we should get a solid run from PRINCESS MONONOKE under regular partner Abbie McCain. The consistent mare was only narrowly beaten last time by Darlyn in a useful Chepstow handicap and houses major credentials once more with conditions to suit despite a 2lb rise in the weights. Wind surgery had the desired effect on Southeast Rose when the Todhunter charge stayed on stoutly to repulse Starplex at Kelso and a repeat of that level would see her go well here despite being 1lb out of the handicap. Paper Promise is respected at her best along with She'sasupermack and Methodtothemadness.
