In depth

Verdict

Lostock Hall had two years off before returning to action in November and looked ready to win again soon when just failing to hold off First Of Never when well supported at Wetherby. He can take his revenge on the winner while CHRISTMAS IN USA had no problems landing an Ayr handicap last month then defied a 7lb rise at Carlisle. He's up another 6lb but still looks reasonably treated and a hat-trick beckons. Gin And Tonic is still 10lb higher than his victory at Plumpton in May, despite having not won subsequently. Green Zone won a similar-class handicap here in December and is just 2lb higher so looks to have good prospects of getting into the money.
