Verdict
Only a handful worth considering, with Midnight Creek, St Matthew and Island Faith the best of them. If St Matthew can handle this bottomless ground and reproduce his Doncaster win on his hurdling debut then he should be too good and he gets our vote here. Midnight Creek will relish the testing ground, having won on it on debut at Kelso. Not disgraced in defeat last time, he can again go well. Best of the rest is Island Faith, who comes from a yard in form, though the heavy ground might not be as much to his liking as others. Place prize money again looks to be the best he can hope for.
