      Verdict

The Wood Ditton maiden at Newmarket traditionally produces some useful types and FRANCESCO CLEMENTE left a good impression when winning the race with plenty in hand. He’s in a Group 2 over 1m4f at Ascot in June so today’s distance should be no problem for the Gosdens’ colt. Lysander placed at Newbury on his debut and returns to action along with Kempton third Sonnerie Power while the newcomer Capstan is a brother to a winner and a half-brother to others.
