GENERAL HARDI's recent form has been franked and John Wade's gelding can record a success at the main expense of Scott's Mill and Presenting Alf. The selection has top-weight to carry this afternoon but that may not stop him recording his maiden success on his 24th start. The handicapper has raised him 5lb for his recent run behind Garleton at Catterick and on ground that suits he might be worth siding with. Trisons Star tries a visor after some diabolical efforts, Yankee Holiday is consistent enough and he gets on well with Mark Bradburne, whilst Dawn Ride may appreciate the better ground on offer today. Sue Smith has her horses in rude health and so her duo of Presenting Alf and Scott's Mill rate as dangers. She had a well-backed winner at Carlisle last week in a race where she also had the favourite so it would be wise to tread carefully, but on his best form Scott's Mill is entitled to go close off 78. The market may help point the way to any horses expected to return to form but we will return to General Hardi as the selection.
