    Verdict

Ben Curtis could afford to ease down KAPONO in the closing stages over course and distance last week and still win by over three lengths. The latter carries 5lb extra but is due to be raised a further 4lb after this and can go in again. Global Warning has been thereabouts here of late and is fitted with a visor today while Queen's Course placed over track and trip in September. End Zone has been running well over 6f and Defence Treaty went close at Yarmouth last time while With Promise finished second over a mile here a fortnight ago.
