In depth

Verdict

Joe Fanning could afford to ease down VALE OF KENT in the closing stages at Chelmsford on his debut and still win by over four lengths. He’s difficult to oppose after such an impressive debut, despite carrying a penalty. Dubai Acclaim looks the main danger given he finished a long way in front of Wilde Oscar when runner-up at Newcastle recently but Dubai Landmark has shown only a modicum of improvement so far. Of the newcomers, Lumi is related to four winners including the useful Off Limits and is worth a second glance.
