      Verdict

      Percy's Gal has run well here in the past and would be a threat if the going turned soft with her regular partner's claim always a help. Pageant Belle has won twice at Doncaster so the long straight will suit though she wouldn't want rain while Desire didn't get the best of runs at Musselburgh after landing a similar race to this at Leicester. Edge of Love only had two rivals to beat at Thirsk though one of them was the long odds-on Count Montecristo, who ran no sort of race and was well beaten. If Ed Walker's filly makes further progress she'll be thereabouts though the vote goes to ROYAL DUCHESS, who makes a quick reappearance after finding trouble in-running in a better handicap than this at Thirsk on Friday.
