Verdict
Saffron Beach seeks back-to-back victories in this and a third success at the highest level. She’s won at Royal Ascot and Deauville this year and found only one too good in the Matron Stakes at Leopardstown three weeks ago. PROSPEROUS VOYAGE has a cracking record at HQ. She beat the brilliant Inspiral in the Falmouth Stakes on the July course here in July and was second in the 1000 Guineas over course and distance in May. It might be worth forgiving her a poor run last time at Deauville. Classic winner Homeless Songs was behind Saffron Beach at Leopardstown but may have needed that run. Laurel is taking a huge step up in class so Fonteyn may be the pick of the remainder ahead of Grande Dame and Mrs Fitzherbert.
