          Verdict

          Pick Up Sticks ran very well here on his reappearance and deserves to get his head in front again after some solid efforts in defeat last term. He has speed to burn and acts on any ground; it will be a surprise if he does not build on his seasonal debut and go close here despite the size of the field. Cassirer is another to consider and as he showed when losing his maiden tag at Leicester last October, he has inherited the battling qualities of his sire, Zafonic. The shortlist also includes: Great View and Sociable, along with Kool - who will be a danger to all if he copes with the step up in trip
