In depth

Verdict

Gold Option can land the opener at the expense of Berkeley Castle and Cape Schanck. The selection is having his debut for the Gosden stable and is a well bred sort. He has some big race entries to his name and will have to be no world beater to win first time of asking. The fact that jockey Richard Hughes has chosen this newcomer over Berkeley Castle means he must have been showing some pleasing work at home so any market moves should be noted. Cape Schanck on the other hand has race experience to his name having run at Kempton and Wolverhampton. Both runs have been adequate without being eye catching and as this is a tougher task, breaking his maiden tag this time around will not be easy for him. So for the winner we return to Gold Option.
