In depth

Verdict

Perfect Thought sets the standard though it’s not a particularly high one and she returned a losing favourite at Catterick a fortnight ago. BEAUTIFUL ARTIST was beaten four lengths on her debut by Revalue, who runs in the opening race, so a good run from the latter would boost confidence in the chances of John Gosden’s filly. Gosden also runs the newcomer Poetic Imagination, a half-sister to a Listed winner among others, while Sary Arqa is related to a Group 1 winner among six winning relatives. Shurooq showed little on her debut and is probably best watched for now.
