Verdict
The withdrawal of the injured Attraction has made the task easier for Soviet Song who should have too much class for Peeress, Sundrop and Alexander Goldrun. James Fanshawe's stable star always needs a run to blow away the cobwebs, and so under the circumstances she did well to finish four lengths behind Peeress at York on her seasonal bow. Her form of last year, which include victories in this event and the Sussex Stakes, was outstanding and if back to peak fitness it is very hard to see her beaten this afternoon. Sundrop also ran in that York event, finishing just two lengths behind the winner, she should again run her race and will be involved in the finish. Irish raider Alexander Goldrun has improved throughout the season and beat some decent types when successful at the Curragh last time. She drops back in trip today but that shouldn't be a problem and she is given every respect. So a terrific line up for this Group one event and Soviet Song has to be the pick
