        Island House (IRE) Ran in France latest (very soft). A winner over 1m2f on varying ground. Last win at Sandown beating Border Arrow; despite top weight on this ground must have chances.

        Mubtaker (USA) A good second behind Grandera 1m3f at Newbury latest. Won at Newmarket penultimate start; should go close.

        Dramatic Quest Tailed off at Doncaster latest behind Ekraar. Won at Newbury time before but connections stressed he is a horse with problems; ground also a worry.

        Hatha Anna (IRE) Winner of his last two starts (soft - GF), Salisbury most recent which was fairly competitive. First time visors today; one for the short list

        Island Sound Has not won since October last year at this course, fitted with visor for the first time at Doncaster latest but finished last.

        Mowelga Having first run for over a year; others preferred.

        Polar Red Eighth in the Ebor this year, quite capable of handling the conditions; cannot be ignored.

        Snowstorm Consistent form, was second to Mr Combustible at Chester in May. Has only had one run on soft when he finished last so ground a worry.

        Sita (IRE) First run for new trainer. Hasn't run since April, but comes off two wins in Ireland. Ground will not be a worry; best watched.
