Verdict

This is normally one of the most-important and meaningful juvenile-filly races of the season, and one in which we side with Elletelle ahead of Visit and Natagora. The Queen Mary winner, Cherry Hinton third and Group One Phoenix Stakes third, Elletelle, arguably sets the level of form that the others need to aim at today. Closely-weighted with her based on Cherry Hinton form is the Lowther Stakes fifth, Festoso, and her chance is very much respected. The Flying Childers winner Fleeting Spirit is another key player, while Lady Avenger has run well in Group company on each of her last two starts and cannot be ruled out of further progress. Another ket player is the French raider Natagora, a winner at Group Two and Three level this season as well as being runner-up in the Group One Prix Morny last time. Stepped up from maiden company last time, Perfect Polly did well to finish second in a Group 3 race last time and should have better to come, while Unilateral finished fourth in the Lowther Stakes prior to winning at Group 3 level, so her form is rock-solid, and Visit was ahead of Fleeting Spirit and Unilateral in the Lowther and rates as another major player. As we say, it's a very good race with the selection being Elletelle.
