Verdict
Blue Bayou would have won the Group 2 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes here last month in another stride. But there is a slight doubt about her effectiveness over this extra furlong and we prefer to take a chance on the untapped potential of HAWKSMOOR. She produced a remarkable run on her debut at Kempton to win easily, having run green and then met trouble in-running. That experience will have taught her plenty and the sky's the limit for Hugo Palmer's filly. Fireglow was fourth in the Albany at Royal Ascot and then landed a Listed contest at Sandown so warrants respect while Fireglow trotted up in an Ascot maiden last time and should have more to offer. Bint Al Reem will have benefited from a winning debut over course and distance but it looks a bit too hot for Opal Tiara and Squash.
