Verdict

Peter Chapple-Hyam sent out the 40/1 winner of this 12 months ago and will be hoping for a good run from Goathland with Edward Greatrex's claim a plus. Argus looked very progressive at the start of the summer and could figure, despite returning from a break, while Al probably saw too much daylight when fancied for the Melrose at York in August. Keep In Line got back to winning ways at Newbury last month and Not Never continues to run well. Haydock scorer Mustard should be thereabouts if handling the easier ground and Wonder Laish and Duretto re-oppose on the same terms as when dead-heating at Ascot last month. Wonder Laish's stablemate DAWN MISSILE has yet to finish out of the first two and was possibly unlucky when only beaten a nose by Pin Up over 1m6f at Haydock last month. Though raised 5lb since, he's still on an upward curve and won't be stopping in a race that's sure to be strongly-run.
