Verdict
SPIRIT MIXER is out of the handicap but impressed when scoring over course and distance on the forecast ground last month. He comfortably accounted for a useful sort in Handsome, prior to which he'd gone well against a rapid Prescott improver. This is a major rise in grade but the son of Frankel may just have more to offer under optimum conditions. Parachute could well prove too strong on the back of a fine handicap effort at Royal Ascot and seems sure to be in the shake-up, but the Balding charge is just preferred. Duke Of Condicote needs to be finessed into things but should be competitive, along with Amir Kabir who finished just behind him in a decent Newbury handicap last month. Keep an eye on Barenboim in the market as he's thoroughly unexposed and returns from an absence.
