Verdict
Frankie was very complimentary about Amazing Maria after she won a Goodwood maiden by six lengths. She is improving and could play a part in this Group 3 but several here have similar claims. Baby Bush came out best of five Richard Hannon runners in a Newbury maiden last month but the merit of the form is questionable. Richard Hughes prefers her to the more exposed Midnite Angel, however, so she goes on the short-list along with Lamar, third in a Listed race at Sandown last time. Ihtimal will surely win a race before the end of the season judged on her third in the Chesham at Ascot, where she finished ahead of Tinga, but WEDDING RING beat her over 6f here in June and looked ready for an extra furlong when fifth in the Albany Stakes subsequently. She can land this for Charlie Appleby and continue Godolphin's recent domination of the contest.
