Verdict

PLANETOID's improvement since well beaten on the Rowley Mile track here in May was no secret to some, as he was backed off the boards and won easily at Kempton last week. A 6lb penalty may not be enough to prevent a follow-up as he's less exposed than Franciscan, who landed a double when scoring at Haydock last time, and A Boy Named Suzie who won his maiden at Wolverhampton in June. Little Jazz may struggle to follow up his recent Windsor victory in this company and Lexington Boy's 8lb rise for winning at Musselburgh in June proved to be harsh as he could only manage sixth at Ripon last time.
