    Verdict

AIMERIC is entered in a Group 2 at Ascot next month having made a pleasing debut when runner-up at Nottingham. Normal progress can see him off the mark and he’s preferred to both Mugader and Soulcombe. The latter can finish closer today while Warren Point and Citizen General are worth a second glance but Special Envoy makes most appeal of the newcomers. The Frankel colt cost 850,000gns as a half-brother to both the Group 1 winner Marsha and the smart sprinter Judicial and has an apprentice’s allowance in his favour.
