Verdict

WAR COMMAND's only defeat came over 6f at the hands of Sudirman, who runs in the Middle Park earlier on the card. He bounced back with an emphatic win in the Futurity at the Curragh in August when back over 7f and looks the one to beat on that form. Champagne Stakes winner Outstrip should give the Ballydoyle colt a race as he returned an impressive winner at Doncaster but the remainder will need to improve if they're to trouble the principal duo. Cable Bay has plenty to find with Outstrip while Anjaal hasn't raced since landing the Group 2 July Stakes at Newmarket during the summer. Stormardal and Friendship are even harder to fancy in this grade.
