    Verdict

There have been some exceptional winners of the Fillies' Group 1 in recent year's Goldikova won it in 2009 and Soviet Song was successful twice earlier. Sir Henry Cecil's Timepiece landed the spoils 12 months ago and the Warren Place maestro runs the consistent Chachamaidee this year. She couldn't get past Joviality in the Windsor Forest, however, and is probably best over a fast-run 7f. Alanza's defeat of Marvada in a Group 3 at Leopardstown was franked when the runner-up won in the same grade at Naas on Wednesday but John Oxx's four-year-old has more on her plate here. GOLDEN LILAC has now won three times at the highest level after edging out the very smart Cirrus Des Aigles over 1m1f at Longchamp. A line through the second gives her the beating of Giofra and fellow French raider Siyouma has much to prove in this grade. Andre Fabre's charge is the one to beat with 1000 Guineas third Maybe looking the best of the three-year-olds.
