Verdict

Haatem beat the Champagne Stakes winner Iberian in a Group 2 at Goodwood in August with both subsequent runs coming over 6f. But the Hannon colt was no match for CITY OF TROY in the Superlative Stakes on the July course here earlier and the Ballydoyle runner is confidently expected to extend his unbeaten record in this. Alyanaabi got back to winning ways in a Group 3 here last month, with Eben Shaddad third, following an unlucky run at Ascot and he has a bit more scope than the Mill Reef winner Array. The Acomb winner Indian Run is still improving but Grand Criterium fourth Henry Adams is his stable’s second string.
