FANTASIA could well be the best backed horse of the day and there will be some long faces about if she's beaten. Wajaha could be the one to chase her home whilst Summer Fete should also make up into a nice sort this season. They say that every cloud has a silver lining and FANTASIA emerged from a squall on the July course to win her maiden decisively before stepping up to take a Group 3 at Goodwood; she lost nothing in defeat in the Fillies' Mile to the talented Rainbow View. She's now in the same ownership as John Gosden's filly so is likely to head to Longchamp for the Prix D'Essai Des Pouliches rather than return here next month but victory this afternoon will tee her up nicely for that assignment. She will be trained with that in mind so the racefitness of Wajaha will give John Gosden's filly an edge this afternoon and she did the job nicely at Kempton earlier in the month. She's a half-sister to Lahan who won the Guineas for the same connection and shouldn't be underestimated. Connections are also excited about the prospects of Summer Fete this season and it's reasonable to expect her to improve this season given that so many of her sire's progeny progress as they mature. Misdaqeya may have been over the top on her final start but she could only get to within six lengths of an unextended Rainbow View in August whereas the selection made her work much harder at Ascot and it will be disappointing if Fantasia doesn't score.
