Verdict
Last year's winner Fattsota has a 10lb higher mark to overcome but he ran well at Royal Ascot when last seen in a handicap. Lingfield winner Important Message is thrown in at the deep end on his handicap debut but has Tom Marquand's claim to help and looks a better bet than Godolphin's other runner Gold Trail. Highland Castle was fourth over 2m at Ascot last month but well behind Blue Surf over this trip at Epsom in June. BLUE WAVE defied market expectations to score over 1m6f on his belated reappearance at Goodwood. If he can reproduce that form over this shorter trip, Mark Johnston's gelding might be the one to beat.
