In depth

Verdict

A number of these have been in winning action on the Polytrack and might enjoy a fitness advantage over those making their seasonal reappearance. Heaven's Guest also ran well at Doncaster last month and appears to hold Shahdaroba on that effort. Professor had Capo Rosso well behind at Newbury in September while Alcando was touched off at the same track in a nursery a month later and was a consistent sort as a juvenile. September's Doncaster winner also has a chance, as does the lightly-raced Tartary, but it may be worth giving DUTCH MASTERPIECE another try over 6f. His only setback last season came over the trip at Haydock in August but he won twice over 5f on soft ground or worse later so there might have been another reason for his defeat that day and his yard has had a terrific run lately.
