Verdict
A wide open finale, in which we'll support CANADIAN DANEHILL as he aims to complete a hat-trick, although strong challenges can be expected from Mattamia and Biniou. Robert Cowell's gelding looks the pick of his two runners here, with Biniou being the other; he won a couple of similar events recently with Frankie Dettori on board, but Pat Cosgrave's got the pilot's role tonight. He's certainly not a steering job, but couldn't be in better form. Biniou also won last time out, and was assisted by a little rain, which he may benefit from here too. He's versatile though, winning in different conditions and over both five and six furlongs. The Thirsk win in May was his first run since December, but he's yet to notch up back to back successes. Mattamia is the only other course and distance winner in the field, and like Canadian Danehill is also on a three-timer, but the previous two successes for Rod Millman's charge were at a lower grade. He made all when winning last time out, and again can handle different conditions. It promises to be a decent finale, with all of these having won at this trip; it is hugely competitive, but our preference is for Canadian Danehill.
