The Haydock form of MONTPARNASSE in defeat to Activate last time looks decent and with ground to suit we will take the chance that the colt will stay this far and side with him, favoured as he is at these weights. Simonside chases a hat-trick and may be capable of defying a 4lb rise for his latest York success with a sound surface ideal. Mark Tompkins adds headgear to Theola for the first time and the filly would appear to have strong claims as a confirmed stayer over this far who is back on a very competitive mark. Lady Hestia has been in superb form all summer, except for one blip at Ffos Las and she too is taken very seriously after her latest 3lb hike.
